He is a stop over on his way home from Afaganistan on the way to Alaska.

In 1987 I was at the entrance to the Khyber Pass. "No foreigners allowed". We turned aroud and went back to Pakistan.

This was a Helicopter Skiing trip 

to Cananda. Here's Steven & Patti.

The Helicopter takes groups up the mountain and drops them off.

Mike, Steven, David A. were in the top group,

they had a vertical drop at about 120,000 vertical feet.

Patti and I were in the slow group, we had 80,000 vertical feet. 

The Helicopter company get paid on the drop distance.

We were doing runs of 4,000 vertical feet. Squaw Valley has a drop of about 2000.  

When we would get to the bottom of these long runs I would hope for a rest, but a copter would have us at the top in a very few minutes. My legs were like jelly.

It was a long way to the top. When we came down I crashed

 and the kids climbed to top of the Pyramid of The Moon

For Wednesday, January 7th

A Cotter Christmas Tradition!

Only usually it's Jeanni that gets hoisted up.

This year due to her Surgery, Jeanni is

behind the camera instead of putting the Angel on the tree.

I recall from last year I believe,

that Paddy made this Angel Tree topper.

Looks like Kelsey did a fine job.

They had the whole train by themselves.

Taylor's visit will be over next week. He is heading back to Alaska. Anchorage.
