"Hi dad
We went white water rafting down the snake river. It was crazy and fun. 

Luckily no one fell overboard. We hung on tightly over the biggest rapids and were drenched."

The frogs were operated by pupeteers. 

For Saturday, June 6th

D - Day. June 6, 1944.

71 years ago today.

The largest seaborne invasion in history, the operation began the invasion of 

German-occupied western Europe, led to the liberation of France from Nazi control, 

and contributed to an Allied victory in the war.

News just came in of the passing of

Bob Flynn MD*

He was Mary Ella's younger brother, #3 in the Flynn line.

He was sick with pneumonia 

and didn't recover. He passed away today.

Ranching at the Peter L. Ferry-Diener Ranch. Early 1930's.

They are getting the bed ready, and perhaps sowing the seed.

Later on:

They bought a new harvester combine.  It appears new. The tractor has seen some wear.. 

An amazing leap forward and in some rough times. According to Mary Alice's book, she, Frank, and Peter L never accrued any debt. The price for their products (wheat, cotton) fell from from 1930 on.
