Joanie and Suzie (Maureen's mom) congratulate Brendan for doing a good job of pinning on his dad's new badge. Brendan is growing up so fast. Every time I see him there is a big change, physically and maturity wise.

It was a special day for the sheriff's dept. Steve got his Lt. bars. This the supervisor's room where the award was made. It was the safest room in Sacramento County for an hour. Sorry but officers in uniform are not to shown over the internet.

Off in another universe. An older picture of Jeanni. She and the girl across the street made the playhouse into a library. What a scholarly pursuit. Most people do not believe me when I tell them how perfect the kids were.

Taylor is learning to be a helicopter maintenance technician. A first step to being a pilot.

For Saturday September 24th

Note From Jeanni:

Joe didn't know Kelsey was coming to his race in Williamsburg. Paddy and I picked her up from school on Friday night and she surprised Joe at the race on Saturday morning. He was so excited, he kept telling her thank you. His hair looks dark in the pictures because he was drenched from the rain. After the run everyone went to Busch Gardens. The kids were drenched but there weren't any line for the roller coasters which were kelsey, Joe, paddy and the other cross country runners favorite rides. Frank wasn't as excited about those rides.

Later that day we got to visit Taylor. Pictures to follow of the most handsome army man on the Fort Eustis army base.

Hi Dad
We got the chance to visit with Taylor. He looks so grown up and handsome in his uniform. Kelsey thinks he looks so much like Maureen and Steven. He seems comfortable and happy. Although I don't think he has much down time. They get up at 5:30. We learned the army song and sang it as we drove around fort Eustis. I think Taylor was a bit relieved when we left.
