Father and son
Steve and Jeanni. You should be very proud of your grandson. Taylor is done at Fort Eusties. The graduation ceremony was really nice. Taylor looked so handsome. One of the guys in his group told us that Taylor is the greatest guy and he has never heard him make a negative comment or unkind word about anybody. Also, a lady who is one of the soldiers grandmother said she wanted to meet Taylor's family. He had stayed at her house with some guys and she was so impressed with Taylors manners/politeness.
It was a quick trip but Joe and I were lucky to see the event. Taylor showed us where they had classes on Blackhawks and Chinook helicopters. One of the guys mentioned they were there until 1:00am sometimes. Jeanni"

1965. Three kids in a tub. Joe has his flippers on. One kid on the outside wanting to get in, Steven. I remember these baths. All the water ended up on the floor. It took a stack of towels to soak it all up. The bathroom floor and kids wound up clean.

1973. We have had a recent snow and skiing is going again in the mountains. Above is Boreal at the summit on Hwy 80. Mary Ella, Mike, the skier in the red hat? Joe. I am on the right. All the kids turned into excellent skiers. Not too many years later we would hit the big hills and then when they closed we would ski Boreal by lights. Every promptly fell asleep as I coffee-ed my way home.

Something Taylor might do in Fairbanks, Alaska is take a Paddle Wheel boat ride on the Yukon.
This is one of the stops where they train dog teams. The teams practice on the dirt until it snows.
1966. Joanie found this great old picture yesterday. It was Patti's 3rd birthday. She is next to Joe. At the other end is Mimi and Steven. Great idea for a present.

It is official. Taylor graduates in two weeks. Then two weeks time off and he reposts to Fort Wainright, Alaska. Near Fairbanks. They have a ski hill on base. I am glad he will be in the USA. Click on the above
Fairbanks is in the middle of the country. A long beautiful train ride from Anchorage.
