The loot. Enough for a year of lunches. When I was a boy, a lifetime ago, I got popcorn in wax paper, homemade cookies, hard candy, an apple, a nickel, etc. We also got a big pile of stuff and would race around the neighborhood to get the most. We would walk an extra block if some one was giving a wrapped Hersey bar. When we got home mom would give us a bowl to keep it in. It seemed to disappear over a few days and finally the bowl reappeared on a kitchen shelf all washed and empty, except for the Hersey bar which we hid.
