April 1987. Mike in the Navy. He is the one with the mustache, a young ensign. I believe these pictures are from a patrol off the coast of Somali, Africa. His ship went back and forth for months during a period of unrest. The men look all business.

That is the Gallipoli monument in Turkey where the British landed in World War I. Horrible place for an invasion force to land.
